so, after a weekend of very rough idling and now power I go to Stillen today for a diagnostic and low and behold Mr. 5 Cylinder, he not got no compression. Blows right thru to the crank case. greeeaaat. cuz you know I am loaded wit dough and after the last few months of new clutch yada yada yada I can't stomach 6 bills for a "new" long block even with a 36 month warranty, 36k mile warranty. since its the technical forum and all of us are Z lovers I will not ask if owning one of these is worth it because we're all addicts and we need our fix. so - do I even attempt to pull the motor and "do" this myself - replace the rings in cylinder number 5. or do I bite the bullet? or does the Z sit for a year until I gots the cash? thoughts
